INTERFEROMETRIC SYNTHETIC APERTURE RADAR (IFSAR)
We have acquired IFSAR datasets covering an area of more than 500 thousand square kilometers in Malaysia, demonstrating our extensive experience and capability in large-scale geospatial data acquisition.
Through ANTARAGRAFIK collaboration with, and representation of INTERMAP in Malaysia, established global player and company with decades of experience in deploying multi-sensor technologies across more than 60 countries, enable us to leverage advanced airborne Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (IFSAR) remote sensing techniques.
This enables us to deliver high-accuracy 3D geospatial datasets over large areas and challenging terrain, with increased speed, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, even in adverse weather conditions or cloud cover.
IFSAR is a coherent side-looking radar system that leverages the flight path of the airborne platform to electronically simulate an exceptionally large antenna or aperture, producing high-resolution radar imagery and detailed terrain datasets regardless of weather conditions or cloud cover.
This strategic collaboration and representation of INTERMAP, positions ANTARAGRAFIK as Malaysia’s homegrown specialist in Nation-Wide Elevation Data Mapping. By leveraging INTERMAP’s proven legacy in IFSAR acquisition and processing, ANTARAGRAFIK is well equipped to offer and deliver both standard, tailored, customized elevation and elevation derived products, such as Digital Surface Model (DSMs), Digital Terrain Models (DTMs), Digital Elevation Models (DEMs), contours, hydrologicallyenforced DEMs/DTMs/DSMs, slope and flow accumulation models.
These products tailored to meet the specific requirements of key agencies and sectors such as Department of Surveying and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM), Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS), other land related agencies, Licensed Land Surveyors, and private sectors.
Our workflow incorporates advanced processes such as hydro-flattening, void filling, and with stringent quality assurance to support the delivery of 1-meter spatial resolution datasets that meet our customers’ specific requirements.
Digital Surface Model (DSM)
Containing elevations of natural and man-made terrain features such as vegetations and man-made features (e.g. buildings, infrastructure).
Digital Terrain Model (DTM)
Bare-Earth Model, generated by semi-automated and manually editing the DSM to remove the natural and man-made features, leaving only bare-earth terrain features.
Orthorectified Radar Image (ORI)
Offering a high-resolution, realistic view of topographic or surface features, like rivers and road networks, which can be produced regardless of cloud cover (unlike optical satellite imageries and airborne sensors).
These datasets are highly effective for feature collection and extraction, either manual, semi-automated or fully automated, and empower our clients to re-invent, re-emerge, and strengthen their position as leaders in their respective industries.
By integrating both proven airborne and spaceborne technologies, ANTARAGRAFIK delivers fast, reliable, accurate and costeffective elevation products, including customized processing of 1meter resolution IFSAR datasets to support national development and infrastructure initiatives.
